Our Lomax Temple Christian Educators strive to be a local resource for the development of credible, committed Christian disciples with a specific emphasis on discipleship with African-Americans and those throughout the African diaspora. The department includes contexts for all ages including Varick's Children, youth, young adult and adult ministries.

The Christian Education Department of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church was created for the promotion and supervision of the Christian training and development of the entire membership of the denomination.

Often described as a "cradle to the grave" ministry, Christian Education supports Christian development in homes, churches, camps as well as church-related schools, colleges and seminaries.
